meet Georgina...pack leader
“As your pack leader, I am humbled to welcome you to Furry Tails Toronto and honoured to be part of your pet’s loving care.”
meet Christa...east end
“Hello, my name is Christa and I grew up in Hungary, Europe, where I lived in villages and around farmers like my grandparents.”
Hey, I’m Georgina…
I am humbled to welcome you to Furry Tails Toronto and honoured to be part of your pet’s loving care.
Every fur member that joins the Furry Tails Toronto pack is treated with patience and loving kindness. They are welcomed in and treated as if they were my own furry family member.
While each dog is unique, my aim is to set specific boundaries to each individual pet since they all have their own special personalities and quirks! I try to provide the utmost care for your pets emotional and physical well-being while using a structured yet well-balanced approach to having a fun time as well as getting in the exercise they need, with a calm and compassionate pack leader.
As a seasoned customer service administrator (of way too many sitting years), I understand what it means to give and receive great customer service! I always try to go above and beyond what I feel is the best service that I can give my clients.
I take pride in the service I provide each day to make their lives easier; giving them peace-of-mind to know their furry family member is in good hands while they are running errands, catching up on work or any other human daily stressors we are all faced with.
I offer free initial consultations with my clients and their pets to see if we feel we are the right fit for one another and to go over any questions they may have.
I am fully licensed, insured and certified in DogSafe Canine First Aid.
Hey, I’m Christa…
“I grew up in Europe and come from a small country (Hungary), where I lived in villages and around farmers like my grandparents.”
All kinds of animals were a big part of my life, domesticated and not so. I have learned to take care of them from a very young age. I have developed a special bond with them all. I love nothing more than studying animal nature, nurturing them, teaching them, and experiencing the appreciation I get back from them. My heart smiles when I bond. They always helped me through life with their unconditional love. I used to have cats following me home as a child from the neighborhood and ended up staying at my home. I used to run, and there were a lot of stray dogs around that would run next to me every day on my route. I always adopted domestic pets to give them a good home. I volunteered at the Toronto Humane Society for a year, 5 days a week, walking dogs for 2-hours in every weather condition. When they got adopted, I was happy for them…but I secretly missed them…until I adopted my dog after a year (see image).
I looked after my friends’ cats when they traveled, most times at my home. I looked after my friends’ dogs, especially one who developed diabetes, had a stroke, and turned blind but trusted me enough to take him out and carry him down 3-flights of stairs.
I appreciate people who trust me with their most precious and, although sometimes I need obvious instructions with the newest gadgets and how to use them, I can take care of anything.
I love music, nature, fitness, and peaceful feelings.
Hey, I’m Daniela…
“I’m from Mexico. I am a professional Dog Trainer certified by The Nordic Education Centre for Ethical Dog Training.”
Currently, I am studying a Dog Aggression course directed by Dr. Amber Batson. Furthermore, I have 2 years experience as a dog walker and in animal sitting; mainly dogs and horses.
My life passion has always been animals, which has led me to get more involved with them. I have five dogs: 3 boxers, 1 schnauzer, and 1 mixed breed – and I just LOVE them!
I like to work with dogs because I think they are of the most pure and honest living beings in the world. They are always willing to cope and accompany us.
By working with them, I have learned that they are masters of body language. I feel that somehow, most of our problems with them, is the consequence of our misunderstanding of their signals. Spending time with them has made me change my perspective of being an owner of my dogs, to simply becoming a partner to them. Their body communication is one of the most wonderful things to discover, which is one of my greatest goals as a dog trainer; to keep learning and share it with all dog lovers.

WE'RE ALL EARS!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What happens @ a meet-n-greet?
One of our Furry Tails Toronto team members designated to do walks in your area would come to your home so your dog gets to meet them on “their” territory in order to feel comfortable with us being in your home. We can walk together with your dog to discuss walking habits or behaviours that need to be addressed and answer any questions you may have regarding the visits, our experience and the pricing. If you decide to move forward, we normally pop back into your place to go over where things are such as leash, food/water bowls, towels, etc. We will follow up with instructions to accessing my login portal to request appointments.
Will you train my dog?
We are dog walkers and pet caregivers, not trainers. However, we are happy to try our best and follow any instructions you may have for behavioural training that you’ve been working on. We are looking into having a certified dog trainer come on-board sometime in the future.
How and when do I pay you?
Our schedule runs from Monday to Sunday, so any services rendered from the previous week are billed out on Sunday, you will receive an emailed invoice Monday morning. You can send an e-transfer to ge******@fu********.ca and there is also the option to pay by debit or credit card directly through the emailed invoice.
How will I know you've taken care of my pet?
We use an app called Petpocketbook that automatically tracks our walks by a GPS and sends you a report card (normally by the end of the walk but sometimes by the end of the day if we are very busy) with details about the walk, photos, where the walk took place and what happened along the way. The app will soon have live push notifications regarding when we’ve started the service and the moment we’ve left if you choose to opt in.
What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens and we ask all our clients to let us know if they need to make changes or cancel an appointment as soon as they know. If appointments are cancelled within 24-hours of the appointment time, a full fee is charged to the client. If a change of time needs to happen, we ask our clients to reach out to their walker by text to see if it’s possible to accommodate them, normally an additional fee is added to last minute bookings because of the juggling that is required with the other clients that day.
Where do I start?
You can reach out to us by sending us a message or directly contacting us by email at ge******@fu********.ca with basic information about what kind of service you’re looking for and how often. We would normally respond within about 24-hours. You can also send a text to 647-809-7759 for a quicker response.
Can you board my dog?
Yes and no! We currently have 1 team member that boards animals but they also have 2 lovely furry tails living with them, so we would need to be sure that they would all get along. They will take in 1 dog at a time, 2 if from the same household. Your dog must be cat and dog friendly as well. Nice dogs only, no aggressive dogs allowed. If you’re dog fits this description, then we can proceed further with the meet-n-greet.
Do you need to come inside my home?
In some cases, we will need to enter into your home. This is intended for checking & refreshing water bowls, feeding, or chasing down a dog that is not wearing it’s walking gear. We always remove our footwear or have washable slip-on slippers that go over our shoes so not to track in any dirt from the outdoors.
Are you licensed & insured?
Yes, we are licensed under the City of Toronto Commercial Dog Walking Permit and insured with PROfur Insurance. In addition to that, we are all certified in DOGSAFE Canine First-Aid.
What time will you do the walk?
When requesting a service through the PetPocketBook portal, you will be offered a 3-hour window. Please choose the time that falls in the middle of that window for your preferred time. We will do our best to accommodate that time but may show up between 1.5 hours before or after the requested time. If you have a later or earlier preference, we ask that you include this in the appointment notes for that day. We will try our best to work that into our schedule but we cannot make any promises.
Does weather permit the walks?
Rain or shine, Furry Tails Toronto is there for your furry family member! However, in extreme cases of heatwaves or snowstorms, where it’s not recommended for humans or furry friends alike to be out and about, we would do our best to accommodate you and your furry family member by discussing the best options for that days scenario…(ie…a quick backyard break and playtime in the house.)
How many dogs are walked at once?
Our group walks are between 2 and 6 dogs at a time. The larger groups are normally taken off-leash, with the clients permission, to a designated dog friendly area.
Where do you take the dogs?
We always discuss with our clients where their dogs are most comfortable. When doing private walks, they are always performed around the vicinity of the the clients’ home. When on a group walk, we normally venture out to Taylor Creek Park, Gus Harris Trail, Balmy Beach, Kew Beach (during off-season), and Cherry Beach Dog Park. Unless the clients prefer it, we hardly ever go to smaller dog parks.
What are your prices?
Our prices range with the variety of services we provide, the duration of service, the time of day, and the day of week. We ask that you offer these details in order for us to provide you with a more accurate quote. We also offer new client initial booking discounts as well as quantity discounts. The more you book, the less the service costs.
Do you let the dogs off-leash?
We only allow the dogs to be off-leash if the client is comfortable with it and knows their dog has good recall, and in designated off-leash areas. We would never take a dog off-leash if the client felt it was unsafe to do so. We enjoy watching the social aspect of the pack dogs running around, getting proper exercise and enjoying themselves in a safe and fun environment. However, we also take this pleasureable work seriously, and always respect the wishes of our fur-ever clients.
When does the service start?
We start our timers on the PetPocketBook app from the moment we get to your door. This is why we ask that you either have your dog geared up and ready to walk from the moment we arrive or to have their walking equipment ready and easy to find from the moment we arrive (we supply treats and poop bags). Otherwise, we are spending time looking for things or chasing the dog that doesn’t want to get his harness on…and the clock is ticking!
Do you supply anything?
Yes! We are happy to supply treats (we like to steer clear of anything with grains) as well as poop bags. We also have an abundance of towels for those wet/muddy days and do the best we can to wipe their paws and give them a good rub down (if the dog allows this without any aggression), prior to entering back into your home.
How will you access my home?
During the meet-n-greet, we discuss the best option for entering in and locking your home. Our clients will normally either give us a key, which we mark with the pets name on it and keep it in a safe place or give us an access code to a lock or lockbox. In some cases, clients have special places where a key will be left for use to be put back at the end of the service.
